Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib says he "should be" ready for Camp and that he "feels great"

Some unexpected good news on the injury front today.

Denver Broncos safety T.J. Ward held his annual celebrity golf tournament today, and a handful of teammates were present for this event. One of those players was cornerback Aqib Talib, who was off his crutches and appeared to be walking just fine.

The injury update came from The Denver Post’s Cameron Wolfe. Talib told Wolfe that “he should be” ready for Denver Broncos Training Camp, which starts in a little over a week, and that he “feels great.” He also told Wolfe that he is already back to “running and everything,” which is another great sign.

As we already know, Talib suffered a gunshot wound to his right leg earlier this offseason. Not too much has came out from this incident, but it appears that Talib will be good to go for Training Camp here in a little over a week.

The one update we did get was a report from the Dallas Police Department.

The Dallas Police Department stated that an “unknown suspect shot the complainant,” and a witness told police that he only heard a single gunshot that night. The witness then said that he found Talib on the ground and took him to the hospital that night.

As we know, the bullet entered Talib’s right thigh and exited his right calf. While the injury sounds bad, but he escaped with only minor injuries.

While no charges have been filed from the incident, the NFL is continuing to investigate the situation and Talib doesn’t have to be charged with anything to receive discipline from the league. So time will tell if he will receive any punishment for this incident or not.

The good news here is that Talib appears to be healthy, walking just fine, and should be ready for Training Camp.
